How To Sell A Digital Product Resources
If you have offered a class or some information, and would like to sell it online, it’s not that hard to set up. You just need a sales page and a way to deliver the purchase.
But for the non-web, marketing, and e-commerce savvy, that “simple” project isn’t so simple anymore.
Here are a few resources that could help you put your project online:
- An example of a sales letter – you want your page to be informative, compelling, and complete in itself – tell people the benefits. This one is a bit short, but should give you an idea: http://www.moneymojomagic.com
- How to write a sales letter – you need to be compelling, tell about the features, answer objections.. really nice article here: http://www.michelfortin.com/dean-jacksons-60minute-naked-truth-salesletter-formula/
- Process payment and deliver the product: Starting at only $5/mo with NO service fees, and offering a way to provide incentives for others to sell your product / affiliates, this is really a great option (so here is my affiliate link:) http://www.e-junkie.com
- Web Host: If you don’t already have one, you need a server to host your sales page. Hostgator has an amazing reputation for uptime, and a pretty fully stocked control panel. At just $5/mo for unlimited bandwidth and storage, for one domain (or $8 for as many as you want) it’s really a great deal (so here’s my affiliate link:) http://www.HostGator.com
- Ebook cover / matching site: KillerCovers makes awesome ebook, cd, and dvd graphics. They can make the site match, too. Same example as above: http://moneymojomagic.com. It’s not necessary, but adds so much aesthetically it really makes it seem professional. Find this awesome designer here (affiliate link): KillerCovers.com
- Webmaster: if you don’t know what you are doing to put the sales letter online and link it with e-junkie, Susan Marshall should be able to help you. Please let her know Avi Marcus sent you.
- OPTIONAL: Stay in touch with your customers- E-junkie does let you send email to people that buy, but they charge per email and don’t let you set up mailing lists or track analytics. Regardless, In the email marketing world, I only trust Aweber to make sure emails actually go through – they are meticulous with their relationships with email servers so your email isn’t marked as spam – (so here’s my affiliate link:) http://aweber.com/
